Some photos and reflections about TANGO ESSENTIALS WEEK - MALMÖ - 2nd edition, 17 - 21 October 2023 !

We have an AMAZING TANGO ESSENTIALS week 2nd edition at LA T TANGO Malmö - 17/21 October - with guest teacher Andres Tanguito Cejas.

During those days, many dancers from all over Skåne, Halmstad, Stockholm, and even Spain, Iceland, and Argentina met in classes, workshops and milongas.

.... SO MUCH DANCE, MUSIC, JOY, INSPIRATION, LEARNING, EXCHANGING, AND EXTREMELY POSITIVE ENERGY !

Always in the creation, there's a dose of unpredictability... the same dose that spontaneity and improvisation add to tango...

But what it counts, HEART, ESSENCE and MEANING, are strong.

We keep DANCING WITH LIFE.

... and we are already WALKING THE NEW PATHS to our next meeting.

The dance and me...... El baile y yo

I've been dancing since I can remember. My first steps were at the age of seven in ballet classes. My first time on stage was when I was eight years old. I can no longer remember the stress of that moment, only my pink tulle tutu and my demi-pointe Shoes with ribbons that seemed endless. Memorable moments from those years? When I received my first bouquet of flowers after a performance. My first solo role dancing Carmen de Bizet. The time was passing. But dance never disappeared from my life, it only took other forms, Spanish dance, folklore ... Until tango arrived. March 10, 1994. Unforgettable. Tango definitely changed my life. It gave me the happiest moments I can remember, and also the bitterest. Very soon my whole existence, my work, my friends were related to him. Today I can't imagine my life without dancing. However I have learned that nothing is forever. Today I start over every day. And in this incessant search for inspiration and creativity I have slowly incorporated other ideas, forms, movements, other rhythms, other arts. But the passion is the same. The freedom of the body and the spirit when dancing is identical, no matter what music is played in the background. ............................................................ Bailo desde que recuerdo. Mis primeros pasos fueron a los siete años en las clases de ballet. Mi primera vez sobre un escenario fue a los ocho años. Ya no logro recordar los nervios de aquel momento, solo mi tutú de tul rosado y mis zapatillas de media punta con cintas que me parecían interminables. Momentos memorables de esos años? Cuando recibí mi primer ramo de flores después de una función. Mi primer papel solista bailando Carmen de Bizet. El tiempo fue pasando. Pero el baile nunca desapareció de mi vida, solamente tomó otras formas, la danza española, el folklore...hasta que llegó el tango. 10 de marzo de 1994. Inolvidable. El tango cambió mi vida definitivamente. Me dió los momentos más felices que recuerdo, y también los más amargos. Muy pronto toda mi existencia, mi trabajo, mis amistades tuvieron relación con él. Hoy no me imagino mi vida sin el baile. Sin embargo he aprendido que nada es para siempre. Hoy empiezo de nuevo cada día. Y en esta búsqueda incesante de inspiración y creatividad he incorporado lentamente otras ideas, formas, movimientos, otros ritmos, otras artes. Pero la pasión es la misma. La libertad del cuerpo y del espíritu al bailar es idéntica, no importa que música suene de fondo.

VANINA Y ROBERTO BAILANDO RECUERDO. Inolvidable!!!! Incomparable!!!! Los que tuvieron la oportunidad de disfrutarlos en vivo saben de lo que hablo
GARDEL: El culpable de mi pasión por el tango.
LA TERRAZA.....UN LUGAR MAGICO EN EL MUNDO. Tal vez una de las milongas mas lindas y menos conocidas de Buenos Aires, que lamentablemente ya no esta. La luna entre las palmeras y los tangos exquisitos seleccionados por Eduardo y Maria Marta justificaban llegar a Vicente Lopez
LAS CLASES DE JULIO Y CORINA. Imperdibles!!!! Grandes como profesionales y como personas. Aunque los veo poco nunca dejo de recordar todo lo que me enseñaron.
EL FESTIVAL DE SITGES. La combinación perfecta de tango y vacaciones en la playa en un entorno paradisíaco. Imperdibles también las milongas after milonga oficial y la milonga durante las tardes en la playa. Un festival además con una enorme trayectoria, uno de los más grandes y antiguos de Europa
LA HUMILDAD DE MARIA NIEVES, UNA GRANDE DE VERDAD.
LAS CUMBRES MUNDIALES DE TANGO. Lugar de encuentro y comunicación para artistas de lugares más remotos.
LA FERNANDEZ BRANCA (ACTUAL FERNANDEZ FIERRO) CUANDO TOCABA PARA 30 PERSONAS EN EL TEATRO VERDI. Que noches aquellas, en La Boca!!!! Recordarlos antes y verlos ahora en vivo me llena de inspiración.
LA SOLIDEZ DE CONOCIMIENTO DE MILENA. Pocos bailarines pueden decir que saben tanto de tango y que traen un bagaje de baile tan grande anterior al tango
LA VIRUTA. Un lugar para milongueros, no milongueros, curiosos, salseros, rockeros, etc...todo es posible alli! El lugar donde todos vamos, aun los que dicen que no.
GUSTAVO NAVEIRA. Un creador autentico
EL TANGAUTA. Para mi mucho mas que una revista de tango, un lugar que me dio espacio para desarrollar mis ideas a traves de mis dibujos sin ningun tipo de censura
